Empowering Melkite Youth
Fostering faith, personal growth, and community engagement among Melkite youth for a brighter future.
What is MYM?
The "Melkite Youth Mission" was established within the Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarchate of Antioch, Alexandria, and Jerusalem with the goal of nurturing and supporting the growth of Christian youth, particularly within the Melkite Catholic community. This initiative operates under the auspices of the Patriarch with the consent of the Holy Synod. The Patriarch oversees, supervises, and is directly linked to this mission and its activities.
The Melkite Youth Mission's task is to serve the youth across various eparchies and Melkite churches worldwide, fostering a sense of community and spiritual development among them.
Our Vision
The Melkite Youth Commission (MYM) is a patriarchal committee based in Lebanon that aims to accompany young women and men, particularly Melkites, in their search and aspirations within their parishes. It assists them in discerning their vocation in the paths of life and in living joy and fraternal love as living members who strive for perfection in the body of the risen Lord Jesus Christ. The Committee encourages young people to experience the Lord and grow in their human and spiritual maturity, deepening their understanding of faith, teachings, and sound doctrine in order to live the Good News.
Our Mission
The Patriarchal Melkite Youth Mission Committee seeks to coordinate and stimulate communication between the Melkite Youth pastoral committees in various eparchies. It also aspires to establish the Eastern Melkite identity and spirituality, to emulate the youth in their daily reality, and to develop their abilities to face human, spiritual, and social challenges.
